In addition to the Botanic Garden in Singapore, the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Casino with the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark and the large infinity pool is the second major attraction in Singapore. The famous swimming pool has a length of 146 meters and is spread across the three towers. The towers each have 55 floors, raising the platform 191 meters above the ground. The Marina Bay Sands Hotel with 2,500 rooms is the most expensive hotel and resort project in the world.
View of SkyPark Marina Bay Sands
The costs amounted to over 8 billion Singapore Dollars (approx. EUR 5.2 billion). If you don’t want to stay in a luxury hotel with a view of the Gardens by the Bay or the skyline, you can also visit Marina Bay Sands directly.
Hardly any construction project in recent years has attracted as much attention as the special hotel on the Singapore coast, with a view of the Singapore Flyer (Ferris wheel with a height of 165 meters), the Formula 1 race tracks, the skyline and the fantastic “Gardens by the Bay” with artificial trees over 50 meters high.
Height and facts – Marina Bay Sands
Whether approaching Changi Airport (e.g. with Lufthansa LH 778 directly from Frankfurt), from the water, e.g. on a cruise or during a hotel stay or a visit to Universal Studios on Sentosa Island, Marina Bay Sands is recognizable from all sides.
The striking design with the three slightly inclined towers, the large Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, which connects the three individual towers of the luxury hotel and, with a total length of 340 meters, is the largest sky deck at a height of 191 meters, with the deck towering 67 (!) meters above the north tower. The size of the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark would provide enough space for 3.5 Airbus A380s in a row!
In addition to the famous swimming pool, which is reserved for hotel guests and bar guests only, the public Marina Bay Sands SkyPark is used for events and as a visitor platform in Singapore.
The famous infinity swimming pool is 146 meters long and consists of four individual pools that are connected to each other. This design was necessary due to its height and size in order to compensate for the vibrations of the towers of up to 50 cm.

In addition to the view of the Singapore skyline, the man-made Gardens by the Bay with the countless large container ships on the horizon are particularly worth seeing.
Shopping mall, museum, restaurants
In addition to the special Skydeck, the large complex offers a large museum, a canal similar to the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and countless boutiques and restaurants – everything from Michelin-starred cuisine to quick snacks.
The most famous labels and luxury labels in the Marina Bay Sands shopping area include Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Cartier, Prada, Gucci, Hermès, Emporio Armani, Chopard, Valentino, Dior, Dunhill, Vertu, Miu Miu, Saint Laurent Paris, Salvatore Ferragamo, Montblanc, Blancpain, Hermès watches and Herve Leger.
A special attraction is the Louis Vuitton store right on the waterfront, which is the largest Louis Vuitton store in the world with a sales area of 1900 square meters. A great new alternative to Orchard Road shopping.
Tip: If you are thinking about visiting several attractions in Singapore, you can also get combined tickets with the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel at Marina Bay Sands Resorts. These do not have to be used consecutively, but can also be visited on different days.
There are also various combination tickets with a boat trip, a visit to Universal Studios, etc., available. – The respective hotel in Singapore always knows the current status.
For me, this viewing platform is one of the most beautiful in the world. In addition to the experience of Cologne Cathedral or the Sagrada Familia, this time it is not a church tower with stairs, but a very comfortable journey to the top.
