Often it is the small moments that make a stay or a trip special and which one remembers with pleasure. One last look out of the window, a special cappuccino at breakfast, a friendly farewell or particularly motivated staff.
When you’re on the road a lot, these are the moments that give you strength and make you want to travel more and keep your appointments. After my days at Fashionweek in Berlin, there was again exactly – such a moment.

A visit to a spa, a massage or a good facial are often part of traveling for me.
Whether it’s Australia, Asia or North America and Europe, I’ve enjoyed being pampered and have been able to relax wonderfully.
People often ask me where I get the energy for all the appointments, the countless photos and videos and how I still manage to regularly write blogposts, upload Instagram pictures or even shoot new videos. Do you actually go on vacation?
Certainly no longer in the form, as a few years ago, a week or 14-day time off, but rather in small stages. Just put away the smartphone for once, leave the laptop closed and let yourself fall.It can be a nice walk on the beach, a good conversation with friends or, as this time, a visit to the spa area.
The Adlon Hotel in Berlin has already become a little second home for me in Berlin and so I was happy again about the great view, the great breakfast and the good dinner in the Sra Bua Restaurant by Tim Raue, but this time especially about the Adlon Spa by Resense.
Anyone who has ever walked through Berlin, along Behrenstraße will have seen the small, almost inconspicuous entrance, just before the British Embassy.
Relaxation and time out at Adlon Spa by Resense
Entering the small and bright reception area, one can hardly imagine that underneath lies a true wellness paradise. As soon as you have descended the bright steps, you have already forgotten that you are in Berlin and near the Brandenburg Gate.
A world of its own opens up, which radiates an incredible amount of tranquility directly. Light seating, light woods and light floors. In between, various plants and subtle lighting.
The Adlon Spa by Resense offers everything from massages, body treatments (e.g. The Polish & Swathe), facials and beauty treatments to yoga offerings.
The three spa suites offer a special opportunity for relaxation. Simply once with the best friend or before a special event the one special privacy enjoy.
Enjoy undisturbed your own Finnish sauna, steam bath, Jacuzzi and the great Relaxation Day Beds. Relaxing with selected music and a color-therapeutic light installation – dreamlike. Of course, the offer of fresh fruits and drinks may not be missing.
Relaxing massages
If you were the days on the Fashionweek on the road, from early in the morning until late in the evening in high heels, you are really happy to let once the soul dangle and just switch off.
I was lucky enough during my treatment and was attended by the well-known yoga master Vijay Kumar Vyas. Vijay Kumar Vyas has been taking care of guests at the ADLON Hotel for eight years. After working at a monastery in Rishikesh, India, and at the Ananda Spa in the Himalayas, he first took care of guests at the Grand Hotel Heiligendamm in 2005 before moving to Berlin eight years ago.
Already at the first contact with Vijay Kumar Vyas (as well as with all other colleagues in the spa area) one notices the positive and calm charisma and immediately forgets the everyday life and the thoughts of the last days.
The treatment rooms each have a pleasant size and already support the well-being through the furnishings and very soft music.
A short, very pleasant preliminary talk and the treatment begins. What I always find very pleasant as a visitor, when not a prefabricated program is processed, but the time is used together with the spa guest to ensure a recovery afterwards.
Tension in the neck and shoulders, strained legs or even in the back are specifically treated first and then pleasantly massaged.
What I personally liked with Vijay Kumar Vyas is the attention to the relaxation of the guest. Here you notice again the direct yoga focus and so he can directly ensure with targeted tips during the treatment that you can switch off even deeper or find better relaxation and inner peace with targeted breathing.
Yoga & Fitness in Berlin
Especially in such moments, you notice very quickly how the body and soul can switch off and recover once for 60 or 90 minutes and leave behind the impressions of Fashionweek.
I can imagine very well, also in the future to deal much more with the topic of yoga and health, deceleration and detox and to introduce a completely different kind of luxury and relaxation.
The offer, which Vijay Kumar Vyas and the Adlon Spa by Resense offer, would be perfect for this and has already allowed many stressed business people a time out, which is now also applied in everyday work.
Conclusion – Adlon Spa by Resense
Even though it was not my first visit to the Adlon Spa by Resense, I am always fascinated by the perfect service and the attentive nature of the staff.
It is a small oasis in Berlin and the whole team always manages to take the thoughts of the last hours and days away from the guests in a short time and make it possible to relax.
Just by the small discreet entrance and the then over 800sqm large recreation landscape you enter a “new world” and can immediately switch off. Of course, as a hotel guest you also have direct access through the hotel.
For me, the Adlon Spa by Resense has been one of the best wellness and spa offers in Germany for years and I am already looking forward to the next visit to Berlin and of course the next visit to the spa area of the Adlon Hotel.
