Experiences and handling with Lufthansa baggage tracing in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. It’s annoying when you have to wait for your baggage after a flight and it doesn’t arrive or is damaged. What a traveler misses even more, however, is the long wait in line to report the mishandling of the baggage to the employees and to select on a large template what the suitcase approximately looked like.
Lucky for anyone who has a clearly defined and well-known suitcase from RIMOWA and where the design has remained unchanged for years.
Lufthansa baggage tracing Düsseldorf
At this point we have to praise the Lufthansa baggage tracing staff at Düsseldorf Airport. Both when a piece of luggage was delayed (from Miami via Zurich to Düsseldorf) and landed at 7 p.m., the piece of luggage was delivered 50 km from the airport at 10 p.m. and they apologized several times for the mistake.
In the case of a damaged piece of luggage a few months later (from Los Angeles via Munich to Düsseldorf), the handling was not only extremely smooth and polite, but also very speedy and exemplary.
Lufthansa baggage tracing
I would like to take this opportunity to praise the Lufthansa baggage tracing service.
Unfortunately, other airlines show where you have to wait three days for your luggage on the route from Amsterdam to Düsseldorf (KLM/Airfrance). So Lufthansa is a very good choice in this respect too!
Update: Details on the airline’s various partners and opening hours, as well as telephone numbers for baggage tracing at Düsseldorf Airport can also be found here.
