During a visit to the Gendarmenmarkt and an overnight stay at the Regent Hotel, a visit to the 2 star restaurant Fischers Fritz Berlin should not be missed. Under the direction of Christian Lohse, the noble restaurant with a view of the bustling Gendarmenmarkt welcomes its guests.
After an eventful day with many impressions of Berlin and a small shopping tour I was also looking forward to the dinner in the star restaurant. The restaurant is located directly on the corner and particularly convenient for me, since I stayed at the Regent Hotel. Comfortably I strolled through the noble hotel lobby to the friendly restaurant reception.
Fischers Fritz Berlin Star Restaurant
Since we were invited during an event in Berlin, we were looking forward to a nice table for several people. The ambience of the 2-star Michelin restaurant looked directly inviting. The evening at Fischers Fritz Berlin could begin and so did the perfectly matched 3-course menu.
The conversations were adapted to the mood very pleasant and somewhat solemn. One could exchange wonderfully and enjoy the atmosphere of the oldest 2-star restaurant in Berlin.
One feels and tastes why the “Fischers Fritz” and the cuisine of Christian Lohse is so often highlighted. It is edible star gastronomy with feel-good factor. I have experienced that in the star gastronomy also already differently. For me, it absolutely fits the concept and the Berlin restaurant scene.
It can quickly happen that fine dining is more about experimentation and pure art. However, I appreciate high-quality ingredients to perfect attentive, but not stiff service. I man the exclusive atmosphere, however, I am also pleased when I recognize what I am eating. That’s exactly why I was quite happy about the evening at Fischers Fritz Berlin.
Star chef Christian Lohse at Fischers Fritz
Christian Lohse and his kitchen team at Fischers Fritz pleasantly surprised me and also spoiled me culinary. The attentive and friendly service also stayed with me for a long time. For me, the star restaurant with a view of the French Cathedral is always worth a visit and even a reason for a trip to Berlin.
Update: In the meantime, Christian Lohse has left Fischers Fritz and the restaurant has been closed for the time being.
