Some influencers use the app and put the app’s logo on the picture for better visibility. It’s a heart with a dotted circle, or a lens. Those who have not dealt with the program before may suspect that it is a camera app or filter app. The influencer has the choice to put a white heart or a black heart on the image. Alternatively, he can also upload his picture neutrally without a logo.

Instructions – How does LIKEtoKNOWit work?

As a follower and fan of certain influencers, you first need the LIKEtoKNOW.it app. The app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store. Unfortunately, the app is still not available for Android users.

When you open the app, you first have to create an account so that your data and likes can be processed in the future. In the top right corner of the app, you will now find a dial for the settings. If you want, you can now link your Instagram account so that the “liked” pictures can be compared to see if there is any information about them.

However, the app now also works without an Instagram link, as it can evaluate screenshots. To do this, you have to allow the app to analyze screenshots on your smartphone in the settings. This way, all screenshots that you take are compared and then the matching looks are displayed.

But even without sharing screenshots, the app works by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom right and searching for your favorite influencers. You can find me by typing in “vanessapur” and saving the link.

Centered at the bottom with the screen icon, you can find suggestions and other users who have linked their looks to LIKEtoKNOW.it. There are even categories to browse here, such as “Under $50”, “Beauty”, “Trendy Bags”, “Shoe Crushes”, “Europe” and many more….

If you click on a picture, you will see all the products that the influencer has linked. Sometimes it’s exactly the products in the picture, but often it’s similar products, because as an influencer you don’t have all the stores or products to choose from, or an item of clothing is already sold out.

How does LIKEtoKNOW.it work for the influencer? How do you create links?

As an influencer, you don’t use the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, but the iPhone rewardStyle app – for Android users, there has also been a rewardStyle app for a short time. In order to use the app, however, you have to be registered as an influencer with rewardStyle.

With the account at rewardStyle you can not only LIKEtoKNOWit links, but also link products in the blog or in the YouTube text under the videos. By the way, you can also include banners in the blogposts and link products on blog images.

If you want to upload an image to LIKEtoKNOWit, you first edit the image to the color you want to upload it. Then open the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and click on “+ Enable a new image”, select the image, choose the format and click on “Save”.

After that, select the appropriate products that can be seen on the image. You can see all the folders and all the products you have collected online so far or browse through the product catalog. You tap on the matching products and click on the green tick at the top right and go to the next matching folder. You can click on up to 16 products before you click on “Next”.

Now you enter the text to the image and add the link to LIKEtoKNOWit by tapping the placeholder “Enabled Link”. It is also mandatory to select #liketkit and @liketoknow.it. If you want, you can now select other hashtags that fit by clicking on the # symbol at the bottom and tapping on the matching hashtags.

Under @ you will find the other Instagram accounts of LIKEtoKNOWit and under the three dashes the texts that you can select if you want to explain to the users what they have to do with the picture to get the shopping info.

After that, an overview appears where you can post the picture now. You select Instagram, for example, and later you can also select Snapchat, Pinterest or Facebook. The image is then automatically posted to LIKEtoKNOWit in the app.

You now choose whether you want a black heart logo, a white logo or no logo at all. The logo is not mandatory, but it shows users that it is worth taking a screenshot of the image. However, the image may now hardly be changed so that the screenshot can really be assigned to one’s own image. Especially with Snapchat, many people like to put writing on the picture, which can lead to problems with automatic recognition.

Now open Instagram by clicking on “Launch Instagram” at the bottom. The picture is taken from the album and the text is on the clipboard. You can now select the location and tag companies on the picture if you wish. Then the picture can be published and the LIKEtoKNOWit link has become visible in the text.
