If you are used to warmer temperatures most of the year, visiting family or friends in Germany in the fall always has the advantage that you can wear coats and boots almost every day.
Outfit with coat and boots
I’m not a fan of cold temperatures anyway, a scarf is always in my luggage and at least one good pair of tights and a sweater. I’m just not used to the cold wind anymore.
But I love coats and tights and even if the skirt is very short or very wide, it always looks elegant with a coat. I now have a large selection of long coats that I always like to wear when it gets colder or when it’s a bit cooler in spring.

These photos were taken on a fall evening in Germany and it was already relatively cool. As the shopping trip was planned to be a bit longer and I wanted to meet friends for dinner, the heels shouldn’t be too high and the overknee boots with 9cm heels were still perfect for the walk.
Fall outfit with a long coat
A matching top with long sleeves from Hugo Boss, a short leather skirt with pleats and tights. As the whole look was already a little darker, the coat was allowed to look more striking.
I like it when the coat remains open and you can casually see the overknee boots through the coat slit with every step. This makes the whole look stylish and elegant at the same time. The only accessories I chose for this evening were my Yves Saint Laurent handbag, the LouLou and a pair of Chanel sunglasses.
Coat in spring or fall
While I wore this fashion look with a long coat in fall, my outfit looks quite similar in spring. Even though I’m looking forward to pastel colors, you might also see me in a look like this in spring.
I like to wear lighter tops and sometimes prefer high heels to boots under my coat. For the transitional period, a light and eye-catching coat is just what I need and enjoy wearing.
