Silver pumps and silver sneakers by Christian Louboutin, So Kate 120 and Viera 2 Flat and my opinion and experience. Christian Louboutin sneakers are well thought out, but not perfect in execution. But let’s start from the beginning and how I got my first Christian Louboutin sneakers in the first place.
High heels lover
I love high heels and boots with heels. The thinner and higher the heel, the more fun it is for me to walk in them. I have the right high heels for every situation. If I want to walk a lot in my high heels, I like to choose 10 cm heels, if I want to go a bit more glamorous, I like 12 cm heels.
When it comes to boots, I think thin heels are super nice, but slightly wider heels make more sense when it’s really boot weather outside. For the winter, I have Louboutin ankle boots with a profile and yet heels that are wide and stable.
Anyone who knows me will recognize me from afar by my high heels and usually also by the red sole. I think there is hardly a more striking shoe than the shoe with the red sole – a Christian Louboutin.
Christian Louboutin sneakers
When I bought my first pair of Louboutin high heels, there were no Christian Louboutin sneakers. Over time, however, there were more and more models of Christian Louboutin sneakers. I thought they looked cute, but I still focused on the Christian Louboutin high heels.
Louboutin high heels, such as the 12 cm So Kate high heels, stand for absolute sexiness, elegance, dominance and femininity. Somehow, sneakers never fitted into this image. If they did, then for me it was an option for male customers or women who prefer to wear sneakers.
So Kate 120 in silver – Specchio Lining
My new Christian Louboutin high heels are silver with lots of little glittery particles. Although I already own a pair of So Kate 120 in silver, these silver high heels were just that little bit different. It’s funny how sometimes it’s hard to say “no” to glittery things.
I could already imagine myself wearing these new high heels with many evening outfits. Like nude, silver is a color that goes with so many outfits. However, if it’s raining or the journey to an event or restaurant takes longer, I like to put my high heels on a little later. I usually have small ballerina slippers with me, which fit in my handbag but aren’t really photogenic.
Christian Louboutin sneaker Viera 2 Flat
While I was looking for new high heels in the Christian Louboutin store, I walked past the Christian Louboutin sneakers and suddenly had to stop. There was a sneaker that looked exactly like my gorgeous new high heels. The same silver plates as the base, but with the addition of beautiful pointed silver studs.
Now my curiosity about Christian Louboutin sneakers was piqued. I simply had to try this model on and I was immediately impressed. That’s saying something, that I feel comfortable in sneakers.
It was clear to me that THESE are the shoes I wear when I want to go to an event in a relaxed way or when I just want to be FLAT on the road. These Christian Louboutin sneakers should also be perfect for driving.
I didn’t think anything more about the fact that the Christian Louboutin sneakers were uncomfortable at first when I tried them on. I’ve never found sneakers particularly comfortable on my feet – that’s why I wear more high heels than sneakers, except for fitness styles for sports.
CL Viera 2 Flat – Micro 3D/Specchio
When I got home, the new Christian Louboutin sneakers went into the shoe rack next to my super chic silver Christian Louboutin high heels. Visually, it looked perfect and I was looking forward to wearing the new silver shoes for the first time.
It’s a good feeling to know that you can give your feet a break and still look elegant. Although, I would almost rather use the word “stylish” than “elegant”, because looking elegant in sneakers is still difficult for me, high heels still win in my mind.
Are Christian Louboutin sneakers comfortable?
The time had come and my new Christian Louboutin sneakers were ready for their first outdoor use. I wanted to walk through the city in the evening when there was a high chance of rain. This is exactly what I wanted the new Louboutin sneakers for, so that I could walk stylishly and relaxed at the weekend.
However, I had only walked one kilometer when I no longer knew how to walk. Every step hurt. I wish I’d taken my high heels with me as spare shoes! 🙂
I quickly regretted my choice of shoes for the evening and went from a “rolling” walk to a “splashing” walk. I already couldn’t feel my little toes, but of course I kept going with a smile.
I had worn the Christian Louboutin Viera sneakers a few times at home beforehand, but of course I didn’t run long distances in them. I thankfully did without the planned extra lap through the city. I didn’t use the shoes again on this trip.
The Christian Louboutin sneaker is simply far too hard. Particularly at the front seams of the toe cap, the shoe doesn’t get any more comfortable even when worn more often. The shoes hurt my toe bones after a short time, even when I’m sitting without putting any weight on them. I still wouldn’t drive in them, I’d rather use my sporty sneakers.
Maybe you have a tip for me – should I wear them in the rain? I don’t find wearing wet socks with a leather insole so tempting… Blow-drying the shoes before wearing them is certainly not the best way to deal with designer shoes either. So I’m still looking for a good solution…
Conclusion – matching sneakers to my high heels
Maybe I’m really not the sneaker type, but I’ve now found designer sneakers that I really enjoy wearing again and again. You’ve probably already seen them in one of my videos. Unfortunately, my original vision of comfortable sneakers to go with my elegant high heels didn’t work out.
Although the shoe names hardly go together, I want to give you the exact names of the two shoe models:
- So Kate 120 – Specchio/Lining – Elektra/Lin Elektra – 37,5
- Viera 2 Flat – Micro 3D/Specchio – Silver – 37,5
Supposedly Christian Louboutin’s new sneakers are going to be softer, but in the meantime, I’m going to keep trying to get used to my Viera sneakers.
I wouldn’t say they’re a bad buy as they look great, but they’re not as useful to me as they should be. Maybe I’ll show you the sneakers in a look of mine soon, but I’ll always wear high heels if the situation allows it.
