When you hear about Galeries LaFayette in Berlin, the first thing that comes to mind is selected designer fashion, good cosmetics and selected jewelry, and less directly sushi. However, in the basement of the French department store complex on Friedrichstraße in Berlin, there is a true food paradise with a French focus. During my visit to the REGENT Hotel Berlin, I also had the opportunity to try the special SUSHI.
Galeries LaFayette Sushi Lunch
Sushi for me was mostly the case for a delicious dinner, sitting together with friends, sharing the sushi platters and just having a good mood and great conversations. This time, after a sightseeing tour in Berlin with VISIT-Berlin, the opportunity for lunch was given.
Those who have already been in the basement of Galeries LaFayette in Berlin, will remember the various macarons, next to beautiful chocolate and selected chocolates. On the opposite side, selected wines, French specialties and a touch of Japan with the SUSHI Bar.
Japanese sushi chefs freshly prepare the various sushi dishes daily, cooking the unique rice and preparing the fish and ingredients for nigiris and makis. As a guest, you can of course watch your own order being prepared or choose one of the constantly freshly prepared sets.
Lunch at SUSHI Daily – Galeries LaFayette Berlin
At my lunch in a cozy seating area, I first had a miso soup and a selection of tuna and salmon sashimi. A look at the sushi menu offered great choices for every guest, such as wakame cali roll, crunch cali roll or classic sushi and salmon maki. If you want something more exotic, you can also find a “Chocolate Banana Maki” in the offer at Sushi Daily.
The great advantage of such a gourmet department is of course, who does not like sushi, can also fall back on other dishes and spend the day together with friends and family.

For me personally, it was the first visit to SUSHI Daily in Galeries LaFayette, but certainly not the last visit – I’m already looking forward to the next strengthening after a nice shopping trip in one of the countless stores and at Galeries LaFayette or in one of the many shopping centers and I’m sure the next designer handbag, a beautiful scarf or even special cosmetics purchases will follow again.
