It’s just too delicious and tasty, always a new little something to try and brought to the table by a friendly staff. So it was similar again this time, when I was offered the option to have dinner at “La Bodega del Green” directly on the golf course in the Palma and try the various tapas there.
I had already planned before dinner – this time I will pull myself together and not try every creation and yet it came again differently than I had planned.

The space in the basement of the Sheraton Golfhotel Mallorca was unique. Both in the newly designed interior, as well as the spacious outdoor areas with a view of the swimming pools empty at the time. The adjacent golf course with the setting sun, the palm trees blowing gently in the wind and the still pleasant temperatures made “La Bodega del Green” in Palma special.
A table reserved in the outdoor area and immediately also the offer, if it was too cold for me, I could also dine inside or they could bring me a blanket. Perfect and a good start to the evening, but of course I wanted to dine “open air” in La Bodega del Green and enjoy the residual heat.
Surprise “Did someone say croquetas?”
I have at the latest since the last visit in the winter in Madrid a small preference for the Spanish Croquetas developed, filled with me meat, fish or as a vegetarian version, these small appetizers belong to me simply and the restaurant probably already knew that. One asked directly whether the information was correct and one may prepare me thereby a small joy and the surprise was really successful and also very tasty.
I had resolved not to eat so much and when looking at the menu of La Bodega del Green already found many delicious dishes that appealed to me, but according to experience, you should ask the staff what is really recommendable and what in this case, visually also looks very good on a photo.
After the surprise with the croquetas, my confidence in the staff was strengthened and I wanted to be “spoiled” and have let myself in on a culinary journey, which I can also absolutely recommend to you.
Tapas menu in small and large
The menu well and clearly designed, a selection of cold and warm tapas, small salads and warm dishes. Of course, the desserts I also love could not be missing on the following pages and so I chose the following “delicacies”:
- “Pa amb oli” – Mallorcan bread with Serrano ham and Mahonés cheese.
- Goat cheese salad with tomato chutney
- Croquetas de ibérico y pollo
- Galician style octopus with potatoes
- Coastal sea bass with sautéed vegetables, almonds and sesame oil
- Fillet of beef with baked potato and yogurt cream
- A variation of desserts – among others with Crema Catalana
With this selection and the cross-section of tapas, it is really hard to find a personal favorite, but a good example, which I would not have ordered the same, but which is excellent – was, for example, the Galician-style octopus with potatoes. Again a proof to rely often on the nice staff and to be guided a little bit in the evening.
Another surprise
Since I drink almost no wine and alcohol, I found the suggestion of the staff particularly nice and endeavored to offer me a non-alcoholic cocktail, which would suit the summer mood and perhaps also look good in the photos. I could only accept the offer gratefully and it really looks on the photos like summer mood and above all, both cocktails tasted exquisite (even without alcohol!) – perfectly thought out!
CONCLUSION – “La Bodega del Green” Mallorca Palma
Even if it is no longer an insider tip on Mallorca, you should leave Palma for a nice tapas meal and drive 15 minutes to Son Vida to the “La Bodega del Green” in the Arabella Sheraton Golfhotel. In addition to a special location and great facilities, the restaurant scored with me especially with an excellent service from all employees.
It is not often that one feels so comfortable in a restaurant within a few minutes and can enjoy the particularly attentive service so much.
In addition, “La Bodega del Green” has a great selection of dishes, the special freshness and especially the visual presentation. My little tapas excursion in the evening has turned into a long evening, with a good mood, great dishes and in the end again the one or other small snack too much … but it tasted just too good.
The question of whether I would eat there again the next evening, I unfortunately had to deny, because I was already otherwise scheduled, but I would immediately take the next plane back to Mallorca for a nice dinner at the Bodega.
