Tapas belong to Spain simply like sun and sea and belong for me at least since my trip to Madrid in winter to the fixed part of a stay on the Iberian island. It is of course even more beautiful when delicious tapas and Spanish tradition are combined with a special view, like the terrace at Es Vi Mallorca. Spanish tradition – tapas at Es Vi Mallorca
A bodega ambience, the friendliness of the Spaniards and in the evening also the possibility to dine “open air” on the terrace, in the beginning of June already temperatures in the evening over 20°C, the beginning of dusk and the view to the cathedral of Palma and the pool of the “Castillo Son Vida” hotel from the Luxury Collection of Starwood Hotels.
The menu in the restaurant “Es Vi Mallorca” was well sized and very nice directly on the first page of the map directly a daily changing “degustation menu”, in which the chef can and would like to demonstrate his skills in various small courses. Often, modern restaurants now offer a degustation menu simply to allow guests to try many things from the kitchen without having to commit to a large dish.

At “Es Vi Mallorca,” as is so often the case, I had the chef give me recommendations for the evening and embarked on a “Spanish” journey. So you can certainly enjoy the evening and also try things that you would probably rarely choose yourself.

- King prawns – rolls with basil and sweet chilli sauce
- Hake skewers – with black seafood raviolis and saffron sauce
- Iberian pork tenderloin wrapped in cabbage – with a mild “sobrasada” ice cream sauce
- Irish beef fillet cubes – on a bed of zucchini and morels
- Fruit salad – presented in different textures
These dishes should give me a good insight into the Spanish cuisine and the tapas offer of the hotel “Castillo Son Vida”, in addition that evening only water – although there were also some good wines on the wine list. For the wine lover, the location in the “Es Vi Mallorca” would therefore also be very suitable. A nice glass of wine, a view over Palma and fresh tapas…!

The “Es Vi” restaurant in the “Castillo Son Vida” offers a culinary journey through Spain with a breathtaking view over the city. There are not many restaurants in Mallorca that can contribute to the well-being of the guest with such a view or special atmosphere immediately upon entering.
Fresh tapas, a nice selection of different smells, both seafood or fish, as well as pork tenderloin and beef tenderloin, plus a fruit salad that wants to be discovered piece by piece.
A nice evening with fresh air with a relaxed atmosphere. I also like to think back to my noble dinner at the St. Regis Hotel and look forward to a relaxed evening at the Tapas Restaurant.
In addition, there is a team that strives to provide the guest with good service that evening and ensure an unforgettable evening. In colder temperatures you are spoiled inside the restaurant, in the style of a bodega, in summer temperatures it is of course recommended to sit outside.
After my very good experience in the “Es Fum” gourmet restaurant in Costa del Blanes, another recommendable restaurant on Mallorca. I will gladly visit this restaurant again during a new visit to Castillo Son Vida. The other guests made for me from the clientele a similar impression as the guests in the restaurant in Milan.
If you are not only looking for a nice restaurant on Mallorca near Palma de Mallorca, but also want to experience a perfect view and the most beautiful terrace on Mallorca, you will find the “Es Vi Mallorca” a perfect location for a wonderful evening.
