There is nothing better than breakfast in bed with inroom dining? In the evening, after a long meeting and many appointments, being served a delicious dinner before enjoying the bathtub. On Sunday, not even thinking about how late you want to get up, just enjoying the day in bed. A nice book, a few series and then only be “disturbed” once by the friendly employee from the hotel who brings the cart with delicacies to the room doer the suite.
Breakfast as inroom dining at the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg
While years ago I used relatively rarely the service for Inroom Dining, then also mostly only in the USA (e.g. during the Superbowl, US elections, etc.) so I try it more and more often in Germany, as recently during my stay at the Kempinski Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, where I have already shown you a first impression on Instagram.
A fluffy bathrobe, a great hotel room and in the evening a look at the breakfast menu. What would you like to have for breakfast? A healthy breakfast or just pastries and bread? I usually always opt for the “signature” breakfast, like at the Hotel Atlantic – the “Atlantic” breakfast with all sorts of delicacies, plus fresh croissants, some fresh fruit and yogurt, and of course a big pot of coffee and a freshly squeezed orange juice.
It’s often these subtleties that make an inroom dining breakfast special, how hard are the staff when you serve breakfast, how fresh are the egg dishes (and are they still warm), how are the croissants and is the orange juice freshly squeezed or is it a convenience food product after all.
Just as much, as a guest, I find it important to be able to choose a time when breakfast will be served at Inroom Dining and is that time adhered to. A handwritten note when selecting 9:00 to 9:30 from me “preferred tendency 9:30 🙂 ” is observed and served on time. Great!
The trolley with the breakfast is not simply pushed in, but once again the breakfast is lovingly spread out. The plates once again placed, the cutlery once again aligned and then a nice day wished. Perfect. That’s exactly how I want to have breakfast and I have my peace and I think you can see it in the video, how much I enjoy breakfast.
Just once have the time, drink a second or third cup of coffee and maybe still choose a second or third bread rolls, plus a delicious jam. Afterwards, just take the smartphone once or yet again a newspaper and just let the day start slower.
I could not do it every day, but such moments you just enjoy and then also look forward to the day. In a luxury hotel, like the Kempinski Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, a very good breakfast is simply part of it for me, regardless of whether in the restaurant with a view of the Alster or from a beautiful room or suite with a view of the Alster.
The Inroom Dining breakfast at the Kempinski Atlantic is for me definitely one of the best breakfasts in a German luxury hotel and should definitely be tried once during a visit to the “white castle on the Alster”. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and will certainly return to the offer then, but before that, a special dinner awaits me in the room.
Dinner as inroom dining at the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg
After I could enjoy the dinner on the first evening in Hamburg in restaurant and experience how flambé or even carve at the table, the second day should be a little more comfortable after meetings and talks in the evening. I wanted to work some more, write the blogposts and also edit my VLOGs.
It is always easier for me if the blogposts from the day directly in the evening still write and so can process the experiences before you have to remember back weeks later. Another great advantage, some dishes I prefer to order for inroom dining, other dishes I look forward to more in the hotel restaurant.
An example of this is burgers, which I usually only order to the room or a nice steak (medium-rare), which I only order in the restaurant if they have a great grill or broiler.
So for the evening, the menu included a pasta dish with shrimp, a traditional cheeseburger, a healthy salad, and for dessert, a chocolate mousse and the traditional North German hamburger red grits.
The order quickly placed over the phone and after 30 minutes should be brought up my order. It is then simply these moments that one enjoys. Again the friendly service, which one already knew from the breakfast. The serving cart lovingly designed and the food really still hot.
In the video embedded above, I also show you once exactly what I am looking forward to first and can absolutely say it was one of the best inroom dining orders in a luxury hotel within the last 24 months and it belongs to the Top5 hotels in Germany for me.
A great selection of food, the pasta perfectly prepared and hot in the room, the burger also made of good meat, a nice slice of cheese and a delicious sauce to go with it. The salad perfect and fresh, the desserts a dream and as announced, these were eaten after midnight, after the blog post.

If you also choose once for a nice weekend the Hotel Atlantic Kempinski in Hamburg directly on the Alster, just enjoy once the Inroom Dining service and just make once a Lazy-Sunday with a great breakfast in bed or let yourself be spoiled in the evening with delicious dishes.
