Hairdresser visit to Shan Rahimkhan for professional styling. It is Fashionweek time in Berlin and thus of course “high season” for my fashion blog. Daily several events in the city, now and then appointments at the catwalks of the big designers and interesting newcomers and in addition always special meetings with PR companies for the fashion blog. Fashionweek is always a special week and requires perfect styling, daily new fashion looks and of course well done hair – my address during the days – Shan Rahimkhan – the “star hairdresser” of Berlin.

SHAN RAHIMKHAN – TWO ADDRESSES – ONE MISSION

Born in Tehran (Iran) in 1972, Shan Rahimkhan came to Berlin in 1995 and first worked for Udo Waltz and Andreas Hagn before opening the most famous salon on the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin as a concept store. It is no longer “just” about hair, but also about the experience and this is implemented through the attached café with bistro, as well as the own store. A great view of the Gendarmenmarkt, a great all-round carefree package and at the end a new look, a perfect hairstyle and a beautiful day – that’s how it should be when you leave the store at the Gendarmenmarkt or the store at Kurfürstendamm 195/196 in Berlin, which opened in 2012. Many advance laurels – many good reviews, but could also convince me, the concept and especially the styling?

SHAN RAHIMKHAN – rainy weather – long hair

For me the morning a small nightmare, already in the early morning temperatures over 27°C, in addition again and again heavy rain showers, already styled – however the hair had for the day an own opinion…

The solution could only be a suitable hairstyle, which holds the day over, fits to the business dress of Ana Alcazar and also the rain would offer little chance. No sooner said than done.

SHAN RAHIMKHAN – The Salon – Kurfürstendamm 195/196, Berlin

A modern salon, enough space between the chairs and a cozy, classy atmosphere. A touch of luxury and gold, yet modern and timeless in design. Feel good right from the start. The question of the day of course “to which show of the fashion show in Berlin it goes, how may or must the hair be” … a little exchange about the shows the night before, where I sat on the catwalk and my dear stylist was allowed to work behind the scenes. Fashionweek time is special, just as it is for the staff of course Berlinale, Fragrance Stars, etc.

In addition to many celebrities who regularly use the service of Shan Rahimkhan and team when visiting Berlin (such as Jodie Foster, Leonardo di Caprio, Nicole Kidman), many German stars also regularly use the service and I was curious to see what they had in mind for me for Fashionweek day.

SHAN RAHIMKHAN – updo – weatherproof

I liked the idea – to create an updo extraordinarily well, no worries about the weather, a classic, timeless look, but still incredibly elegant and a touch “aloof” – just how I like it.

The styling quickly and well implemented and above all – regularly – asked if I liked it, if something should be changed, if it sits uncomfortably or the needles press, always in between a mirror and a step-to-step explanation of how to do it. I felt absolutely perfectly cared for the whole time and if I think about it, I would have had to implement it myself, I would have needed at least two hours and spent half the morning frustrated in front of the mirror in the hotel.

Prices for an updo at Shan Rahimkhan start at EUR 60.00 and can really save you a lot of time and nerves, especially on such important days. A perfect look and a very good impression and the most beautiful thing always comes at the end…

SHAN RAHIMKHAN – Shan’s Kitchen

Since I still had some time until the next appointment, there was an opportunity for a second, small and healthy breakfast – whether for vegan, vegetarian or even people who just want to eat healthy.

I chose “Eggs Benedict” for breakfast with nut bread (without flour) and it tasted really excellent. Another alternative that also looked very tasty, scrambled eggs with truffles…. Of course, those who know the prices in Munich will be thrilled, because Berlin is always a touch cheaper…

SHAN RAHIMKHAN – “Ladies Styling Dinner”.

Who wants to try once the service with a delicious dinner – will find a special offer at Shan Rahimkhan, which I certainly want to try again sometime…. “Ladies Styling Dinner” – On Thursdays and Fridays, Shan Rahimkhan’s beauty and styling experts are available for the most beautiful hair and makeup looks. First a beautiful styling for the evening, then a great 3-course dinner in Shan’s Kitchen with your best friend and then spend the evening in Berlin in the hottest clubs. SHAN RAHIMKHAN – CONCLUSION

The concept of Shan convinces – not only by a very good styling and many beautiful hairstyles, but also by an “all-round carefree concept”, from reception, care, make-up to food.  It will certainly not be my last visit, with Shan Rahimkhan.
