Sixteen centimetres of Christian Louboutin — this haul is all about one seriously bold pair of ankle boots, unboxed and worn in.
The stars are the black Dolly Booty Alta: a rounded-toe ankle boot on a platform sole with a full 16 cm stiletto heel. On paper that sounds terrifying; in reality the platform does the clever work, and they’re far more walkable than the height suggests — which I show you properly with a walk, not just a static try-on.
I style them the way I love best: a little unexpected. Black tights, a crisp white business shirt and tailored business shorts — a sharp, slightly playful outfit that lets the shoes be the statement without tipping into costume. There’s also a look back at my classic Louboutin knee-high leather boots for anyone deciding between the two.
If you’re a heel lover weighing up an extreme pair, this is the honest, close-up version: the unboxing, the platform detail, the fit, and how they actually feel to walk in. And if you just enjoy watching beautiful shoes come out of a box — this one’s pure treat.
